Biblical Calendar

2024-2025

On April 8, 2024, the date of the solar eclipse in North America, many were able to see the end of the seventh year of the moon's 19-year cycle, shown in black in the document below: Ancient Jewish Calendation p.243.

A careful exploration of this excerpt from the document will help you understand some of the basics of the forgotten ancient biblical calendar, which was brought to light by the work of scholar Grace Edith Amadon in the 1940s.

By tracing the 19-year cycle of the Jewish moon from the first century to the present day, we can discover that the ancient biblical calendar is generally different from today's Jewish calendars in terms of the dates of the annual feasts and the beginning of the biblical months.

However, the weekly Sabbath remained intact.

In this version of the calendar, the days of the week, starting with Sunday and ending with Saturday, are indicated in Kikongo. This language of the ancient Kongo kingdom, or Kakongo, bears many similarities to Paleo-Hebrew.It has the astonishing ability to bring the story of creation to life simply by counting from 1 to 10.The etymology of each number refers to a stage of creation indicated in the Book of Genesis.

Indeed, each number n, in addition to representing a numerical value, conveys a meaning that corresponds to the nth word spoken by God, in strict conformity with the biblical text of Genesis chapter 1.

Moreover, in Kikongo, the names of the days of the week are the numbers 1 to 7. And, remarkably, these have an additive meaning, summarizing the work accomplished by God on that day.

For example, the number 7 in Kikongo is called "Sambuadi", which literally means: blessing, sacred, rest and pause. In addition to these remarkable linguistic observations, the Paleo-Hebrew alphabet is present in the frescoes of the Lovo massif, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. These include the tetragrammaton YKWK/YHWH.
